How do you explain the lack of structural black figure like MLK jr. and Malcom today?

Because they're not genuinely wanted. Besides, you don't need a Malcolm or Martin today. You need some courage and removal of bitterness in your hearts. But, of course, that requires personal inspection and doesn't fit the "nothing's wrong with me, it's the rest of the world with the problem " model many subscribed to. Carry your own weight and contribute with your talents to the community. That's generally all you need to do.

Because any time one comes up, the government puts a hit out - either on their character or their bodies.
...Are you new?

Fred, MLK, potentially even Brother Shabazz. Angie got ran out the country and they still got white folks out here believing revisionist history like the Panthers were some super-militant threat to the country and not a largely localized movement villified not because of anything they did, but because of what they could have been or that MLK wasn't killed by the FBI.

What'd KRIT say? 'They got us where the villains who we cheer fo'/cause they murdered all the heroes'?
That part.

Why this type of figure is not emerging while they are needed?

The context makes it impossible?

Because the Black Church created most of the leaders. Or had a heavy hand in it

The black church is mostly dead for ppl under 40. And doesn't have anywhere close to the same influence as it did the 1900s

Also there's no money in it unless you join the Diversity / LGBT movement. You'd be on YouTube/ IG begging for donations

The next great unapologetically Black leaders will be an already wealthy, top 0.01% dude who alrrady has $20 million and doesn't have to worry about being cancelled

Needed but not enough. Collective issues call collective answers, which implies a collective leadership.

Individualism is not enough.

It's true that role the church used to plan in black communities has not been fulfilled.

The problem is when you wait for such a person instead of taking initiative yourself

In a way I think people have a messianic complex. You can still move on one accord without a centralized figure. Centralized figure can be a weak point at times.
