We're going to be left with no clean drinking water since it seems these companies are intent on drilling in areas with watersheds and of course our elected officials could give a fukk.

It *can* be relatively safe but like @Malta said a lot of these companies give no fukks about messing with aquifers and groundwater. Generally the industry should be fine as long as they decide to fukk up small town America and don't drill too close to places where people are important enough
