My question to you is, why is this thread so lazy? Why did you think just writing "title" suffices as a thread description as opposed to posting or listing actual examples of artists from said "recent NY hip hop scene" :upsetfavre:

Well its pretty much the same argument that's been made against NY for years now. Even though we still have the highest concentration/percentage of people who can actually rap or flow out of all the nobodies/semi-somebodies doing it in the region vs other areas like ATL or Chicago, nobody is really hitting artistically or musically and creating their own lane besides A$AP Rocky who barely counts.

Check out my guy Bam Bino though :whew:

The amazing work of art MCHG was the AlbumOTY in 2013 & best solo album this decade, & since I don't give a sliver of a fukk bout any of these GayTL sacriding Future clones/fakkit ass NYC fashion week weirdos who compromise the rest of NY's MC population I'm more than satisfied.

Only depressing thing is our Flow Lord and Lyrical Savior Hova Da Gawd ain't blessed us with his gawdly presence in so long & Memphis Milk Dud says he done making albums.

I'm only a fan of Dave East so far. Had hopes for Joey Badass but his last project was ok at best.

NY ain't going no where till the producers step it up. The heat will always be with whoever got the dope sound, you can't name a batch of hot producers coming out of NY since Heatmakers Just Blaze days :dwillhuh: Vinylz the only one.

all New York artists should learn from Rocky/Yams. They straight up showed y'all how it's done.

The rest :russell:

Rocky is one of the biggest artists of modern hip hop, but he barely counts? :mjlol: Isn't he in the new Zoolander movie? Dude is selling MILLIONS of Youtube plays for songs that were never played once on radio.

How long is this "Rocky aint relevant" narrative gonna last? At this point we've more than passed ostrich-head-in-the-sand territory.

who?

What has he made?

I completely agree. Producers gotta step it up.
