America is so ass. I'm tired of this maga shyt and the shootings are way out of control. Also I feel like the government might be coming for my rights lowkey... I mean they did it to white women with that Roe V wade stuff so I know nikkas next (again) in some way.

Y'all think shyt finna be worse in 2045 or that the country will be around the same that it is right now, I'm really hoping that some sort of socialist-ish programs and reparations happen either in my lifetime or my kids.:jbhmm:

Really hoping that the GOP moves closer left in the next 20 years or so fr fr. I don't see how conservative ideals can exist in a widespread internet age. These Gen Z nikkas watching Tik tok's are not voting red like... At all.

Might not be in my lifetime, but I definitely see the USA breaking up on some USSR shyt

Republic of Texas, California People's Republic, maybe even a Tri-State or Bible Belt confederation :mjpls:

My anecdotal purely subjective evidence for my theory is a few years ago when I worked for the feds in DC, I went to a conference in Dayton, OH
It was a complete 180 in every way. DC with some of the most expensive downtown real estate in America and Dayton's downtown looking like Kabul
Boarded up buildings, bombed out windows, total lack of commerce (this was before the pandemic).
I went out in the middle of the workday to meet a colleague for lunch and it was me and 3 other people walking downtown. Straight tumbleweeds status.
WTF?
When trump and them talk about "the forgotten" I think of Dayton. We're literally 2 (and more) separate countries. That shyt is not sustainable.

America will be the same. People run that 'its different now' nonsense but the fact is you just have social media throwing stuff in your face daily that is anything but new.

There has always been bigots and racism.

There has always been crime. As someone who grew up when crack started circulating I laugh when folks act like crime is some new Gen Z concept. Dudes are clueless. Especially since I know Gen Z that are handling biz so I don't need to focus on a few knuckleheads to sweep the whole group out the front door like so many do on here.

There has always been overt thottery. Women didn't just start selling sex in the media it's as old as time and there was always some half a faq crying about it under the guise of 'saving the youth'. Another goofy take!

I could go on all day. None of this shyt is new. And it's not pervasive just because a person is late to discover its existence.

I agree. I think the cultural difference between parts of the country has become to wide, and there's no common enemy or ground to rally behind anymore. I went on a drunk rant about this like ten years ago at friend gathering and ppl kinda thought i was a little crazy but the divisions are 3x worse now. American would have to get on some real authoritarian shyt to avoid it Russia/China style but I don't see that happening.

Yeah everything is everything. Same people up in arms and pearl clutching over WAP and Throat Baby were shaking their ass to Pop That p*ssy and Throw The D. It's just there was no social media back then. FOH.
OMG so much violence in music now!! Yeah cuz Geto Boys and NWA were making children's records.
80's and 90's were FOUL in cities all over America. Kids today are partying in gentrified neighborhoods that were war zones.
Every time I go to Wynwood I see the corner where a crack dealer got murdered by police in 89. It's a Ducati dealership there now.

Well that's the trump/de Santis model. Hard right wing authoritarianism. Can they lock it down like China? For a time maybe, but there will be a rebellion. They'll have to get their Tiananmen massacre on to keep it together.
