How do you get out of signed agreement to buy a house?

I know this won’t help. But my dumb ass caved and bought a timeshare for like 13k. Which don’t sound too bad. But every year you had to pay time share fees. Anyway in Michigan u have like 3 weeks to put in writing that u want to cancel the timeshare. I did that shyt as soon as I touch down back home.

I did the math I would paid over 25k these last 3 years smh

Get an inspection and make sure they are super thorough, they’ll get you the info you need and use that to your advantage.

Ask your agent to put in a bunch of weasel clauses to try and protect the deposit. If seller still satisfies all conditions then you gotta take the L on the deposit

Yeah I learned after. Luckily Michigan has that law

so op depending on when u signed. Check your state law

Like someone said earlier there is more info needed to give a thorough answer. If you haven’t paid the deposit then don’t. If you haven’t had an inspection then don’t. For any contract in my state there is a closing date. If this date passes then the contract is not valid any longer without an addendum to extend the date. Give a little more info and I’m sure we can give you an exact answer. Also, is there a legit reason for wanting to cancel? Could be as simple as changing your mind because you like something else better or you feel like you rushed into it.

I got a free Vegas trip and $300. Also 2 tickets anywhere in North America flight and room. But Naw i didnt feel pressured. i did not know how timeshares were ran. But this particular one. Every year being in the program u Get credits to go to any property the company own. With the property u ”own” u could go anytime it’s available. So I thought that was cool when I signed up. I did not know the fees and taxes could rise. Almost like 2k a year. I was like damn I could just take 2k and travel somewhere and not be in a contract.

Your agent can sue you for backing out of an agreement to buy a house since he or she will loose out on their commission.

For this reason your first step should be to talk to your agent
