1 I actually love my field . 2 I believe a persons salary should be determined by their skillet, if they had to go to school, stay up late at night studying, missing out on certain things in life etc.

3.) If fast food started paying workers $15/hr, guess who they are going to pass that expense onto? You the consumer. Now you can say " Well you don't have to eat there now" Im sure plenty of us won't. So now the businesses are losing revenue, back at square one.

Some people actually like the field they are in. I'd never trade coding for flipping burgers even if it paid more. But go ahead take a fast job because it pays more. I guarantee you will be miserable in 5 yrs.

Ok breh, I take back saying "Pissed". And truthfully you are right, it wouldn't affect me I just don't see how it could happen..From a business perspective .


For example, the appeal of fast food is that you should be in and out and it should be cheap.If you start paying the workers 15/hr. The prices will go up. now imagine how that will affect other workers whose job only pay them $8 -15/hour. No more dollar menu etc. all meals start at $8 and up. Those ppl will stop or most definitely cut back on going there. So now the business are paying employees more and bringing in less money because the prices went up. Sure the prices wouldn't affect the IT cert gang.

Now since the prices went up, Fast food prices are on par with low end resturants( iHop, ruby Tuesday, Friday's , Chilli's etc ) If I'm going to pay $10 for a burger, why not go to one of those places instead? Esp since they have a bigger variety and the food taste better.Why go to a fast food place now? O the speed? Let's see since McDonald's are competing with resturants now, I would hope they would step the quality of their food up = Food taking longer.




I just don't see it happening, not because the employees don't work hard. But the nature of that business and what fast food means to people, cheap,fast and don't expect much out of it. now if they can up their wages to $15/hour and keep the same menu prices then Forget what I just said.
