my point is all this crab-in-a-barelling is really :dscustai: and disappointing
considering how hard "low skill" workers had to unite, fight, risk blood and bone, so that your once upon a time warehouse job would one day have to pay you 12.75. They hoisted you on their shoulders only to have you take a giant shyt on their faces. Trust, if it were not for low skill workers getting out on the streets and busting head with the cops and hired goons, it would be the bosses taking a giant shyt on your face right now today, all while standing on your shoulders, tambout "your degree ain't shyt, you need to take what we give you". Now they got y'all out there

This is what it is really. nikkas with they nose up working these higher paying jobs got their head so far up their ass that they dont even realize they lack basic understanding in economics. At the end of the day, they're only a step above the people working fast food and thats why they're really mad. They need someone to stunt on. They need someone to be rude to. Because they're asses get shytted on daily by their bosses and other people who make more than them.
The average American is stupid as fukk. There are people out there with those fancy schmancy college degrees that think that if the wage of a fast food worker went up $5 so too would the price of the burger. I shyt you not. But that's what happens when someone who types numbers into a spreadsheet for a living thinks they're somehow superior to a cashier.
Yall need to just keep it real and admit it. You're only REALLY against an increase because you dont want someone at McDonalds making more than you or the same amount. THats all it boils down to, any other reason is invalid or wrong.

Breh that's how business work, unless that business found some way to save a significant amount of money. Now we can say the higher ups should take a pay cut but of course that's not going to happen. lol.

Most customers don't even know why the cost will be going up. I mean we can sit on here all day and say what's right and what's wrong, but let's deal with reality. Skillset and importance to a company determines your pay. It's really that simple, if I've been working on a piece of code for a couple of months and we have a deadline coming up and I just decide to quit, you can't just throw a new employee in there and say pick up where he left off and "yeah we need you to be familiar with this 2,000 lines of code in 2 days " hell not even my co-workers could pick it up that fast. I could be the best coder here, put me in the marketing dept tomorrow and I would be lost. Why? Because I don't have the training for it and I could not pick it up and be as effective as somebody who went to school for it. Hence the company would suffer because they aren't utilizing my skills correctly.
Again I don't mean to come off as a prick, but some of yall are acting like you were born yesterday and don't understand why they are being paid what they are.. Truthfully I know they can't survie off it, but what do you expect when a good portion of your field is filled up by teenagers? What do you expect when you can be fired and somebody can come in tomorrow and the Buisness only misses you for a few days? You are going to have a bunch of teenagers and college kids making $15/hr.

Man I would love to rival who I work for ( no it's not the food biz ). But trust me I know how this goes, you're not going to up their wages without consequences to either the consumer or labor cost. When a company/entire field identiy is " Fast and Cheap"
So 60% of fast food workers are under 24 and 30% of that are teenagers( who still live at home with mommy and daddy )

So to make my intentions clear, I don't think ppl can live off their current wages, but you really can't expect much change when 60% of that work force either lives with their parents , in college or works 2 jobs.

yes..... but sometimes, military members aren't paid enough depending on job.

Sounds like the military's problem and not fast food workers.
You don't "rather" shyt when you're a kid.... most people who join the military aren't even conscious of international politics. Most want better opportunity, a college education and a pathway to increasing their standard of living.
Most people who flip burgers and aren't worried about wage --- Dont worry cuz that's just some temp shyt while in school.
The people who are fighting to get paid more than bank workers, some city workers, and other more important professions-- by making fast food.. are losers with limited reasons for existing.

but the problem is people actually fighting to get paid more than 10 bucks to do a job that is really mindless and a job that many people who do for $5. IF someone points out other areas that don't make as much as 30+K... then they aren't wrong for the comparison.
those other areas need to protest for a wage hike, too.
I guess ... if that's what they want.
Or they can create companies. If you don't wanna flip burgers... open up a burger joint... or a food cart or something.
Or you can go to school and get a higher paying job.
Or do something..... but there are career fields that should protest for a wage hike.. fast food workers aka easily replaceable people who peddle poison really shouldn't complain.
