How Do You Handle People Who Can't Keep Secrets?

Is it better for me to confront this situation or to just ignore these people completely? I CAN drop this chick from my life, no questions asked... the only problem is she works at a spot that I like to frequent often. However, I could give that up (wouldn't want to though).

Don't ever tell anyone anything that you don't want shown to someone else, especially if you are working on the assumption of 'implied' discretion. She did you a favor by exposing her tendencies early on, so you know how to react from now on.

The obvious answer is don't tell them secrets, but this isn't exactly my situation.
I showed a journal of mine with a lot of my private thoughts to this chick I know (platonic) who proceeded to show it to one of her friends (wasn't really tripping off of that) who then pretty much proceeded to show it to everyone she knew. And the rub is they're pretty much laughing at/belittling the shyt I wrote even though the thoughts in the journal were serious as all hell.
Advice?

The irony is that by showing your journal to that chick, you became one of those "people who can't keep secrets"...Those were your secrets, you should have kept them...

The average human being can barely keep a secret, it's NOT in our nature to keep secrets...Humans need somebody to "witness" their lives...We want people to know that we exist...

Because of this social need, it's hard for many of us to keep secrets..Most humans will find a way to tell the world their deepest secrets in one form or another...

Just drop her you already fukked up. Or get in on the jokes, start throwing shyt back at them cause if they know it affects you it won't stop. For the future though you should keep that stuff to yourself until you've been with a chick for years.

The secret stuff though, I don't even know cause I always assume whatever type of secret I tell will get told to other people and might come back to me. The real personal shyt only my wife and family know about never trust friends, girls you just kinda know, or co-workers with any of that stuff cause you'd be surprise at how much fun people have trying to embarrass you.
