If you dwell on that, it eats you up inside, and prevents personal progress. I have a job, growing a business, a woman, and a house. That is where my focus is. I can’t save everyone, and thinking about negativity all the time isn’t going to solve anything.

I think we are way too emotional, and allow our feelings to stop us from even attempting to accomplish things. I’ve seen it on this very forum. It blows my mind that so many of us think we have to separate ourselves from everyone else, and not compete, or be involved in things.

How do I cope? I go to the gym and hit the weights and do some crunches, And I also drink alcohol on the weekends. But I’m still black after all of that. Oh well. As long as I wear cologne and try to dress well, my masculine energy will carry me through. Sometimes being a black man can be lonely, but being alone isn’t a bad thing. Solitude is great, and being able to think and reflect and plan your finances for a brighter tomorrow only happens through being by yourself and drinking alone. The darkness is my friend. As are muscle relaxers and grunge music.

I find joy and happiness from me and mines now.

A collective "we" is not in consideration anymore. I'm sorry to say but I can't deal with us and our continued problems on the daily anymore...I'm not a young man and only getting older.

I can only concern myself with my family and my boys to make sure they alright when I'm gone. And that, is increasingly, more of a worry than anything else right now :mjcry:

It can be tough to reckon with, and there’s a fine line between being “woke” enough to want & pursue change vs. enjoying life as an individual.

There’s some solace in knowing the black population worldwide is set to grow the fastest even with the poor economic/health conditions. I choose to think that means we’ll inevitably grow in power and status on the world stage…we just need the right leadership in Africa however difficult that sounds.

Africa needs a system like in the EU or the US so far as how the nations interact with each other.
From the outside looking in, Africa seems very fragmented. I don't hear much about multinational
African coalitions doing shyt. Ghedaffi seemed like the only one with a plan to do something like
that by creating a Pan African currency backed by Libyan gold. I think he could have done it too.

the only thing that impacts my mental is the possibility of police encounters cuz they “playing” to kill…just running around my neighborhood daily could result in a fatal encounter if some cac decides to call the police…aside from that everything else is comparatively “frivolous”…you been black long enough…you deal with it by living YOUR fukking life…it’s literally all you can do.
