"We have black children who'll have to go through this mess"

:snoop: no you don't. They're mixed

:snoop:@ following the outdated one drop rule in 2014

Are you implying that mixed kids don't go through racism breh? I know plenty of mixed guys/girls who'd disagree if you are

Yes but not like Black people.
It isn't exactly the same but trust that white people see mixed kids as black or the product of a '****** and a ****** lover' so it's not that different. In the eyes of white people if you look black/have black features, you're black.

Look at what I specifically bolded in his statement, then look at what I wrote underneath.

Derek Jeter aint the same as Idris Elba

Rashida Jones aint the same as Nia Long

and biracials were treated differently as far back as Slavery, even owning Black slaves

What's with the incessant need to control the lives of others? Let alone strangers

Anyone can date who they please but a community has the right to determine who is apart of it based on that.

I vented just like I would with a black woman.

Something a lot of dudes don't comment on but after a long time together (in my case 2 years) you start to forget that they're another race.

You forget.......... right up until shyt happens. That's when the crucible of your souls is revealed.

That day will come for you, and for her. Be strong, and be honest, when it does come. Do it as practice for the kids, if nothing else.

I agree with you but at the same time I don't think white america looks at Jeter or Rashida Jones the same way as the people you compared them too because they don't look as much like us. I'm willing to bet a good majority of people don't even know Jeter is mixed.

They don't look at mixed people the same. They discriminate against them, sure, but it is milder. Also, when you have White parent, uncles, grandmas, cousins and friend of the family, you have ways to bypass White supremacy in ways Blacks could never. Doesn't mean Biracials can't embrace their Blackness or discuss Black issues but know your place.

Mixed blacks experience nearly the same racism. You're just purposely naming biracials that look more white. Most biracials look "black". They look like Barack Obama, Halle Berry, Boris Kodjoe, Lauren London, Michael Ealy. They very rarely look like Blake Griffin and Austin Rivers. You know that. And you also know somebody like Michael Ealy even with his green eyes and lightskinnedidness would still be a thug nikka like Mike Brown if the police shot him down.

Rashida Jones, who you keep referencing, looks racially ambiguous (not black), so of course she won't experience much racism but......her own sister Kidada.....does look more black and is more representative of what most mixed blacks look like and she's said about a hundred times how different her and Rashida were treated growing up.
