My girl is Italian and I vent all the time about race issues. She listens and after all these years of racial situations I've been in, she can see a little bit of it, but she isn't overly concerned. The shyt has me like 
every time I speak on injustices not just involving us here in the states, but the gaza strip bombings too etc... she'll basically be like "oh, that's terrible". No input whatsoever. We have black children who'll have to go through this mess, so it should hit a little bit deeper when she hears of children being shot dead for no reason, but I guess 'inherently'

Why do you think like this? Because it leads to me living a less stress filled and confrontational life...
Don't you think these beliefs will hold you back in life? Yes they somewhat do. There are some financial downsides to not fully assimilating with the dominate society...
How do you work? Study, etc? Probably the same as most white Americans. With whomever is beneficial to improving my quality of life in the moment. But my free time is my free time and I chose to spend it in an atmosphere of peace and community.

If this bothers you...why did you marry her? I take the side of your wife on this. She is not black so she willl not understand what it's like. Even if she does empathize it won't be to the degree that you like...I don't understand what you expected. She married you not the black race...at the end of the day stuff will only hit home when her kids lives will be on the line...it is whay it is.
No different than when male posters say that black women don't own them...they can date/marry/find attractive whoever they want...which I totally agree with btw.
The reality their race does not change just cause you sleep with her or him...I thought most of you realized that?
I have a white female friend I like her very much. Her and her family but I never discuss race issues with her...the thing os black people expect white people to feel bad for what they have done over the years. Some will...some won't and most will be indifferent. I expect nothing.
