When Phrenology dropped my older sister’s fiance bought it for me. I liked a few tracks but could never really get into it. Listening to it now makes me wonder what the fukk was wrong with me. It’s quickly become one of my favorite Roots albums. It was amazing how effortlessly Black Thought was rhyming over such a varied, but cohesive album.
Good ranking.
Undun didn't do it for me on my first listen. Haven't really gone back to it. Will check it back out.
TFA is still their best joint to me, followed closely by Halflife. HIGO was their best joint in a while when it dropped even though I did like their 2000s albums. Malik not being on them aside a few joints on Rising Down and Game Theory really sucked. Losing Hub also put a dent in the group to me even though he didn't rap. Rahzel as well being gone.
The last studio album didn't do it for me either (Shoot your cousin).
Overall though, still one of my favorite groups ever and Thought is in my Personal Top 10 MCs ever.
