How do you rate albums? (let's use Nas as an example)

I brought up ASAP to see where you're at Youngin. I wanted to see if the rating system you apply to albums had LLA over every single Nas album that ain't illmatic.

Did you miss the part where I said I'm a 'fellow Nas breh'. Nas is probably my favorite rapper of all time. He's dropped lots of incredible shyt after Illmatic. He's also dropped tons of weak shyt since then.

So don't get defensive. I'm just a critical person.

Like I said, you ain't kidding no one with this bullshyt. Calling for Mel to hate on nas albums when it's supposed to be about a rating system.

It was a joke.

The funny is, you haven't contributed a single thing to this thread. Not a single comment about rating system. You just came in defensive.

So I think you need to

:camby:

before you get your blood pressure up

:dahell: how da fukk you say Lost Tapes is 3.5 and Life Is Good only 2? most of your ratings are wasy off IMO i'm not one of these people who thinks my fav rapper is untouchable & incapable of making bad (or subpar) music but to have some of those albums as low as you do is :mindblown: to me

I didn't love a single track on Life is Good. I thought most of the tracks were average, or even below average. Especially in the beat department.

Lost Tapes has standouts: You Gotta Love It, Poppa Was A Playa, Purple and Black Zombie. Great beats, great rhymes. That's my reasoning.

What are you talking about, your a younin :mjlol:

In "our day". Lil nikka Mel is probably 10 years older than you, shyt i'm probably 10 years older than you.

You don't keep it 100, you just have shytty opinions. That is all.

Lets try again youngin, do you rate Long Live Asap 3.5 mics or over :shaq2:

:dead:

This attention seeking dikksucker is hilarious. He's saying "in our day" when he started listening to rap in 97, the first Premier beat he heard was The Militia lol, motherfukker be talking like he was around in 1983 or some shyt lol.

Some people rate Nas' albums higher because they DO feel there's stand out tracks on his albums. As do I. Even on Life Is Good, which is a 4 mic album to me, without looking at the tracklist Daughters, Reach Out, Back When, Bye Baby immediately spring to mind.

And though this is an attention seeking thread, just saw it so will give a few ratings anyway...

Untitled 4 mics... stand outs.. Testify, Fried Chicken, We're Not Alone

Oh, noticed you rated all the albums so..

Illmatic 5 mics

It Was Written 4 mics

Stiilmatic 5 mics

The Lost Tapes 4.5 mics

God's Son 5 mics

Hip Hop Is Dead 4 mics stand outs... Hip Hop Is Dead, Money Over Bullshyt, Blunt Ashes

Distant Relatives 5 mics stand outs Nah Mean, Patience, Strong Will Continue, damn near the whole album.

The other albums haven't really thought about ratings, I Am is probably around 4 mics to me.

Nastradamus probably 3.5.

Streets Disciple probably 4

Rough shyt but it's better than your ratings. It also seems you say you like certain artists you don't seem to like that much. Your true passion seems to be dudes like ASAP Rocky, who you say a number of suspect things about like you have an attraction to him, it's a little odd but do you.

and here comes the scorned K-Rino stan. Tired of being the butt of the Coli but won't quit being such a dikkriding f@ggot who loves the attention.

I've been very transparent about who I am and how I got into this hip hop shyt. I'm Black, '84 kid, heard quite a bit of hip hop starting in '93 but didn't get heavy into it till 96/97.

Meanwhile, you're vague about who you are. And when asked, you've dodged like Neo. Others have exposed you as a multiple-alias-having cac from somewhere in Europe, probably a mental facility. We don't know your age nor how you supposedly got into hip hop, but I'm willing to guess you're a late-teen, early-20s 'real hip hop' lame in Norway.

Which makes it all the more pathetic that you stan for K-Rino, easily one of the shyttiest rappers to ever hold a mic.

lmao at Distant Relatives being a 5 mic album

Lol how can I be scorned when I replied to your bytch ass and you ran away like the shook hoe you are when it comes to an actual debate and not homoerotic stanning and attention seeking?. Lol you are a liar with trash taste and opinions, no-one would take you serious in real life which is why you say this outrageous ludicrous shyt on here.

i wouldn't say Distant Relatives is a 5 mic album but def a 4-4.5 IMO

Life Is Good has great songs, great album for a grown MC to show his growth and the growth of Hip Hop. greatest beat selection on a Nas album since Stillmatic. that's usually what people complain about with Nas albums. generally i think that's bullshyt, most of his beats fit him well and range from good to great. Lost Tapes to me is a classic, especially for an album made up of left over tracks.

Street's Disciple - bloated, shouldn't have been a double disc but there's some great tracks on there, nothing less than 3.5

HHID - great at the time, haven't listened to it for years now but i'd give it a 3.5-4

never cared for Nastradamus, i wouldn't know any of those songs if they kicked me in the nuts.

I Am was great even though it was a big step down from Illmatic & IWW, he got caught up in some othe trends of the time like the double time bounce flow of Big Things to the typical beats of the day which i don't particularly like. that's actually one of his weakest efforts IMO but still has some classic songs.

God's Son i can go either way. there is some great music on there like Made You Look, Dance, Get Down, Heaven showed that he worked on and mastered that bounce flow that he failed so miserably at on Bog Things and Big Girl.

to me it's the amount of skippable tracks.

And by skippable I mean tracks I just dont really care for. A track Knowledge God is skippable but only because Criminology is next.

In a typical 14-15 track album if you have at least 8-10 dope tracks I can give you at least a 3. From there it goes by how much I repeat those tracks and how bad the ones I don't listen to are

What if a whole album is skippable?

I urge any standup poster to put this @SirBiatch dude on neg on site status. He's a sh!tty troll and I'm beginning to believe an alias.

:russ: I love my haters! Come one, come all you salty muthafukkas!
