The A was a backwoods and as southern as a city could be until they built the airport in the 80s making it the de facto capital of The South.

If you don't have a ton of transplants in you're city "getting money" then you're in a fly over state like Ohio or some shytty city like Port Arthur

People always overlook the fact that there is more black money flowing in ATL than probably anywhere else in the country. It cost money to record, get on blogs, festivals, etc. that's why you always see some no name label attached to these artists even though they market themselves as independent. Someone has to put up the money.

It's not rocket science. Black culture is the biggest in the south so that's where you'll see the trendsetters. The west and NY are melting pots and black culture in those areas nowadays are weak.
