DC rappers don't know about Bmore rappers. Philly and NYC have two different scenes. Jersey has it's own shyt...that's why. People have self contained music scenes.
Atlanta is hot because it's a transplant town with "easy" natives. From dope dealing to music, people with money and connections can go there and make shyt work for them...
nikka said strip clubs...Miami has a deeper strip club culture than the A...in fact...Atlanta got its' strip club culture and its' original offering to hip hop FROM Miami...(you know, atl bass music? It's miami bass.)...Miami, Memphis, Detroit, etc are the reason why atlanta is hot. A lot of Atl styled rappers living there are transplants with fake accents..like Waka.

He partly right though. The transplant culture in Atlanta is a big reason for its success. But its not the only reason. And Atlanta has a culture of its own, LIKE EVERYWHERE ELSE.
I am 30 and I was raised in atlanta, and it was because of the transplant culture and the circuit and the strip clubs. The amount of black people here in one place, from ALL OVER THE SOUTH. The south is not as developed as the rest of the country. The only MAJOR and growing urban centers are ATLANTA and Charlotte. And Charlotte is new. lol.
Everyone from all over the south comes to atlanta. Not just to live. But to shop. You should see the parking lot of Ikea or Lenox on a saturday.
And when an artist is big in Atlanta. He tours the whole south and is big in the south. But usually artist get hot where they are from and come to atlanta to hit the circuit and work records.
So the fact that Atlanta is the Center/top of the chitlin circuit is why it constantly has what seems to be artist from atlanta. Our Music business network extends the whole south. Not Just atlanta. Not just Miami. Because of the freeways.

Atlanta is better for the circuit than Miami because Miami is at least 8 Hours from every other state line. Atlanta is less that 2 Hours from Most of its closest capitols an major cities in the south. 4 hours to charlotte.

Its not just strip clubs or radio. Atlanta is just seen as cool much like NYC use to be and nikkas are willing to help each other.
