there was an instance where he had to fight someone(killmonger in the comics) to the death and the armor didn't help much because they were fighting for days.

I don’t have the most comic book knowledge but Black Panther would beat Wolverine

In the comics Black panther gave wolverine the beats 3 times
Those were just regular fights though. In a fight to the death wolverine should probably win because has the healing factor

Black Panther would win because of his superior fighting skills along with his anti-metal claws or he could just chill and use some necromancy and call it a day.

the suit absorbs "basic" comic book damage but he couldn't take a direct hit from Iron Man or Thor.

He's a fighter on par with Captain America but below Iron Fist, Elektra and Daredevil. He's as smart as Stark, Reed Richards, Bruce Banner. Also has Starks level of resources and gadgetry.

He's the swiss wakandan army knife of the Marvel Universe in that he's a jack of all trades but isn't the outright best at everything.

He kinda has a shytty rogues gallery of villains though he his comic book runs are typically hit or miss (with more misses than hits) so hopefully that will change after the movie.

BP used to not have the computerized indestructable suit or necromancy powers- he was smart and rich - but pretty much aside from the enhaced physical abilities dude was getting knocked out all the time by a log or a bat or stick to his head

he didnt really explode power wise until like the 90s and 00s -


before that he was basically in a suit that was just a costume that really didnt have any more special powers anymore that Cap or Spidermans costume.

TBH Doom was WAY overpowered in theory... The infinity Gauntlet alone should have had enough raw power to defeat doom but what's a reality stone compared to the powers to govern reality THAT YOU'VE ALREADY CREATED...
