How does Dr Dre only own about 25% of Beats when it was built off his name?

my guess is dre didn't invest any capital or take any risk to get the company off the ground. 25% is quite a large share for someone who really didn't do much at all when it comes to creating a product.
They needed dre's name to sale the product.

and he was handsomly rewarded by not having to really do jack shyt. I heard a nick cannon interview on howard stern from last month and he said that when beats first dropped, they were only selling them on the home shopping channel and jimmy iovine called nick to come on tv and try to sell the beats by dre (cuz he had a seperate deal for his headphones). he said that dre didn't even wanna do any promotion for the headphones, and they had to plead with him just to call into the show for a little while to sell the headphones.
Dre got luck as hell because nobody got beats because of him. It because all the famous people was wearing them and the price. People seen them status symbols. I think apple brought them not for the head phones but for the streaming service the own.
