THIS is what I don't get.
Writers/Producers don't get the credit they deserve... but that's neither hear not there. The fact that Drake gets a pass because he makes hit records contradicts the whole premise of him not writing his own music. SOMEONE ELSE is making the hit records. Drake just mimics someone's hits.
This isn't like R&B because a singers voice can change the whole make up of a song. Rap is different. Lyrics and hook instrumentals. Drake doesn't have the best voice, flow or delivery. In fact he borrows flows depending on what record he jumps on. So how does one get credit for "making hit hit records"
Lauren Hill caught back lash because it came out she didn't write/produce her debut record. She was never the same after that. I know I'm beating a dead horse but gotdam the ignorance is so blatant its hard not to go
