How does Drake get credit for "making hit records" when he doesn't write or produce?

Not all of it. When it first came out she led people to believe and it said in the back of the cd that she wrote and produced the entire album by herself. That wasn't the case. And she got sued and ended up paying. This is common knowledge and it's not like this happened 30 years ago.

When you read the credits, it's clear that others were credited as writers and producers. I'm going to read that article, because there's names in the booklet that specifically have co-writing credits. I'm not sure if they got co-production credits, but they got credited as musicians:

These stans are hilarious. Just when you think you've seen it all they do it again!

Defend your rappers ability to write rhymes by citing r and b artists he has written for, brehs
and female rnb artists at that :mjlol: this is real life walking dead these zombies is running a muck

Fam imma a Snoop fan but he doesn't pen all his shyt that's what we're discussing here. And to be a top mc u have to pen all your shyt.. I fukks with Snoop hard too man no shade to the west coast gawd...

Snoop has never tried to hide that he's used writers, I even remember an interview he did saying he used writers to help give nikkas a break into the business

But he's still a highly respected MC by the OG's in hip hop, not by cacs and new blacks

I don't idolize anything

I take sports and music for what it is... Entertainment

then go join the EW forums and the ESPN comment section and refrain from discussions with actual heads who live this shyt. The fact you're even here is sad as fukk. Thats like joining a basketball forum and wondering why everyone cares about strategies and advanced stats when all u care about is entertaining dunks. You're the type of nikka who probably likes watching Blake Griffin over Tim Duncan. Cool, go play with the pop kids and stay out of real nikka discussions. Some people actual care about all the details of the shyt they're into it.

Actually delivery and voice is very important in making a rap record and certainly in making a hit. Having a good delivery and voice is not something easy to come by :heh: Those QM reference tracks were absolutely dead and colorless until Drake breathed life into them

And Drake's got one of the clearest and smoothest deliveries in the game :dahell:
They were dead because they weren't studio level productions..they were reference tracks ..not finished products

Snoop already said he uses writers on certain occasions, he's been honest about it for a minute now.

Also, snoop can freestyle off the top and probably could battle some folks if needed.

Just noticed the credits for know yourself:

"Know Yourself"

Quentin Miller isn't listed in the song. I thought was credited for it.:patrice:

Granted, this is Wikipedia. Any other source that shows he's credited for the song? Remember there was a reference track for this one.

QM isn't credited on all the songs he did and he never was. For some reason Drake's bytch fans keep saying QM was credited all tracks so he's not a ghostwriter. But he is. RICO, Know Yourself, Blessings all dont have QM's name in the credits . This is fact.

Theres DOZENS of reference tracks for drake

They will never come out because he has the money to pay people to keep quiet

THAT is how you judge a rapper...

Having money to make sh*t happen = hip hop

Writing your own lyrics in a studio apartment = bum sh*t
