They tried this shyt with #1 rated JUCO Jonathan Kongbo. Supposedly Hugh Freeze is exploiting the Cam Newton ruling from a few years back where if the parents sells the kid without the kids knowledge, no one get I'm trouble.

Freeze tried to buy off Kongbo's dad to get him to Ole Miss. Jonathan wanted to sign with Tennessee this morning but daddy said no. Tennessee had to sweat it out for a couple of hours today as Kongbo's dad refused to sign his kids LOI. We got lucky that jonathan stood his ground and the mother finally caved and signed the LOI.

Freeze and Ole Miss are dirty as it gets. And everyone knows it.

Jim Hackett: 'Rashan Gary offered incentives during recruitment'

Former Michigan interim athletic director Jim Hackett, who made major moves during his 15 months as the leader of the Wolverines, believes Rashan Gary was offered "incentives" during his recruitment but it wasn't enough to ultimately sway his decision.

Alejandro Zúñiga covers Michigan for SBNation and grabbed this revelation from Hackett during Wednesday's 'Signing with the Stars' event in Ann Arbor. It's stunning accusation from Hackett, though it doesn't seem all that surprising considering Gary's stature as the nation's No. 1 overall prospect.

Gary's other finalist was Clemson, who he visited at the end of January, and he had taken official visits to USC, Auburn and Ole Miss.


Michigan's well-balanced 29-member class headlined by Gary was the Big Ten's second-best overall and came in at No. 5 nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings.

During his 15-month tenure as Michigan's interim athletic director, Hackett's credited with luring Jim Harbaugh back to Ann Arbor and generating a national buzz for Wolverines athletics that the department hadn't felt in years. UConn’s Warde Manuel was formally introduced as his replacement last week
