In my job small talk is essential...as a social predator it is typically how i size up my prey to determine when/if it is worth it to devour them, and how to devour them (whole or in chunks)

in my mind situations like u at a bus stop waiting and someone else waiting just start talking to u outta nowhere.

I don't have a problem with small talk depending on the circumstance.

If I feel like you're talking to me just to get something, I'll give half heartedly responses.

I remember this little 15 year old girl started talking to me outta nowhere. She ask me about my sneakers and where I get them. After that I walked away.

I'm waiting outside the mall, she come up to me and ask do I want a ride anywhere. Her fresh out pen uncle heard her and said you asked him about a ride.

I'm like I'm good, thank you tho.

I agree with the last sentence. I guess I feel that way cuz u supposed to talk when u have something to say and make ya words count cuz u cant get em back. Ok maybe think about this take me and the coli. I really only post in threads I can relate to. In spells In the ladies random thread. But there are a whole buncha threads I simply skip over. Some people talk alot but they really dont be saying nothing and I really dont like them people.

Im not to found of it but ive realized you can get much much further with it.

I just talked my cable and internet bill down based off of small talk.

I try to avoid it because most of the time it comes from people I don't wanna talk to and I can't really hide the fact that I don't wanna talk them. Some people might think I'm rude for this but it ain't my fault

I've got no problem with small talk as I'm a good conversationalist but due to my pessimism, I have ZERO follow through. I can a fully blown conversation with a girl, have her laughing and then just walk off afterwards like nothing happened. The way I see it, if I really made a noteworthy impression on her, she'd find a way to give me her number before I walk off
