And Batman always wins, and yet they're working for the man who's gay for Batman, so they're bound to encounter Batman!

as long as you laugh on queue he doesn't mess with you
these guys don't assume they're meeting with batman all the time and they know at this point he won't kill them.
plus the henchmen will encounter him regardless of who's hiring them

And he pays way better then straight up mobsters.
