It's pretty much like the SAT test that high school students take for undergrad instead it's for masters/PhD programs
That's crazy

So EVERYONE takes the test and from there you get pts to choose what course u wna do?

People with masters/PhDs cans you all drop some knowledge about GREs and other useful info you wish you knew at the start

Tips to passing the GRE:

Buy the Kaplan book with an online code

Read it a lot

Take the practice exams

Success

Only people who want to go into certain fields. I think liberal arts grad students and engineers take it

It makes no sense for engineers to take it, only a third of the test is math-related. It IS funny watching engineering grads trying to cram and learn vocabulary and how to write in a couple of months though :mjlol:

The Real Titletown
:leon: @ the number of masters

Im thinking of going back for mine now that i have the time just to say i got it.

How many of ya'll with masters/PHD's feel that it was worth it? :jbhmm:

It makes a big difference if a company pays for it. If that happens, it's usually worth it, if we're talking strictly financial. In my field, some of us have our Masters and some don't, but most are on 100% commission, so many don't see the point in it unless they want to move up into a higher management role.

Also, certain colleges and universities such as the one I went too have a four in one program where you get your Masters degree much quicker.
