Trap muzik being an undeniable classic is some revisionist shyt, that album was a blip on the radar when the shyt dropped. I could see the argument for Jeezy, he had a whole movement and shyt.

It’s really not. shyt kinda spearheaded Atlanta rise to the forefront of hip hop and top a relatively unknown ti into a hip hop heavyweight. Actually ended up going platinum overtime because of it’s staying power and help birth the likes of the Jeezy and guccis to the mainstream

You merging movements

Crunk era was popping before trap muzik the album dropped.

The Atlanta mainstream scene existed and was in full force before 2003

Not really. I’m from Atlanta and watched it unfold in real time. All the songs I mentioned were from mid 02 and carried into 03. Before that in Atlanta mainstream wise you had Luda who wasn’t a representation of the city at all. You had outkast with the whole world and the singles from stankonia and a kinda bubbling lil Jon and ti making noise underground with the in the streets shyt.

Please tell me who was making noise on a mainstream level pre mid 2002 from Atlanta that wasn’t Luda or kast?

My wife is from the A....

Lil Jon’s crunk movemet began at the tail end of OutKasts run. Outkast began to slow down in 2003. Jon and them were making crazy noise.

Their movement was mainstream and arguably global. Get Low was and still is crazy. As far as the sound, it was mainstream well before T.I.’s second album

You’re blending movements.
