lmao it was you who brought up Obama and Nixon on page 1 unless there's someone else posting that I have on ignore
But the conversation wasn't about Dore when I mentioned Obama in a response, that was in the context of an ongoing conversation about Bill Maher and democratic policy and I'm not the one who brought up either of those.
Nap is the one who chose to ignore Dore and deflect to Maher out of nowhere right from the beginning, OP took him up on it and kept it going, then OP said Bill Maher has to be a liberal cause he doesn't oppose Dem policy and I said that Dem policy hasn't been liberal for a good minute.
How can I be the one deflecting from Dore if literally nobody was talking about Dore when I made that comment?
I never took you to be this Jimmy Dore Diamond tier Patreon subscriber regardless
No need to add all those qualifiers, I've literally never watched/listened his show or had a single positive thing to say about him.
I did a quick search and so far as I can tell
no one on the left has been treating him like a hero on this board. One of the oldest threads on him is Cole Cash straight mocking him, the other old threads on him were by his right-wing fans. If you have counterevidence then post it. But
@Pressure claimed he was a hero to the left and all three of you claimed we were deflecting from him....isn't it more likely that he's just not an interesting conversation topic and we have nothing to say because none of us watch him or think he has any meaningful influence on the left?
Just seems like a strange thread to attack Obama and liberals in when Jimmy Dore is what even now at this point an angry middle aged libertarian white guy who is rapidly approaching openly racist
Which perfectly describes Bill Maher as well.
If you didn't want Democratic leadership brought into it, then talk to OP, not me. He's the one who tried to excuse Maher's racist libertarian white guy schtic by saying he was in line with Democratic policy and therefore must be a liberal.
I just find Maher (and Obama and Nixon) all a lot more interesting to talk about than some marginal 3rd-rate tool with a podcast who literally no one here likes anyway.
