also the clothes.....nikkas would crack on u to death if a nikka came out the house wearing some of the "young" clothes thats normal these days.
Now its completly the opposite....if a nikka comes out the housing wearing baggy shyt the jokes on you

i have to admit.....i never thought this trend would happen.
also nikkas skateboarding......that ish used to reserved strictly for whiteboys.......now its dam near normal to see nikkas in the city riding them......crazy
nikkas going places deep..........it used to be the normal to see nikkas rolling dumb deep to city functions, thru different neighborhoods, etc....dont see this at all anymore

Entertainment wise: You had to make a special effort to support your favorite artists. Want to watch that dope music video again? Sure as hell can't watch videos on dial up. You had 2 be infront on the tv when MTV Jams came back on again (and hope it made the countdown).

was just thinking about this, remember all of those 1-800-collect commercials back in the day lol.. but besides that I remember people being able to smoke fugs just about anywhere when I was a kid. Now I rarely see that shyt which is a good thing. Cig smoke is terrible.

MTV was pretty sick back in the day. Im not even talking about old school MTV (like when they actually played music videos). Im talking about early 2000s MTV....

People were serious about their car sound systems when i was young. It was the normal for nikkas to have systems so loud when they drove thru u had to wait for them to past to hear what the person u were talking to was saying......
they used to have a channel called the jukebox where u had to call in and order what video you wanted to see by putting in a 3 digit code that would show at the bottom of the screen. Man i used to run my fathers phone bill up something serious with that channell lol
Fila sweatsuits were the shyt
brands like maurice malone, boss, used by elie, guess, tommy hillfiger (used to be the shiznit), nautica, abercrombie jackets, flight jackets (with ur crews name on stiched in the back) first down, coogi sweaters all came and went
games like "letter b" and "left hand". Letter be was a game where, after u bet in, if you said any word that started with the letter "b" nikkas could and would fukk u up.....no matter where u were at. Man, that game was the shyt.
Left hand was a game where, after you bet in, if you had any food in ur left hand if another person who was in the game said "left hand" while u still had it in ur left hand u had to give them ur food. Many a hearts were broken playing this game

Social networking is by far the worst thing to happen I think since growing up.. 
growing up, hoes were treated as hoes.. no one respected them or strippers minds or opinion on anythin.. because they were hoes n strippers..

People would actually have convo's. These days,you can see a couple on a date texting and not talking 
Back in the day when you were a little kid,you could go to a neighbor's house and actually eat dinner with them.These days people dont want their kids anywhere past the front lawn.
