"nacho cheese, I'm Castro"

< Everyone knowing for a fact that now in 2013.... when Pac comes on the ipod or any mp3... you skip that song if it's not Brenda's had a baby or a couple others.

IF it's featuring dawg pound you have the urge to break the device.

plus, Are we really gonna say 2Pacalypse Now > Illmatic :what:

I never thought he was "better" than Nas at rapping....

I just thought his rhymes and style had more appeal to it....

I thought it was dope how he could drop "Brenda had a baby" and then come with "I get around" type joint....

Seemed like he got better with each album he dropped..... Nas peaked early and then kinda faded to the background until Stillmatic dropped.

I will openly admit that Nas is better lyricist than Pac...

But Pac songs used to make me feel a certain kind of way and feel what he was saying and I can't say I really got that from Nas...

Yes, Illmatic is the definition of incoherent garbage... the exact opposite of lyricism.

IWW would be a better comparison, but even IWW has "nacho cheese, I'm Castro"

When Pac comes on the ipod :ohlawd: nicca, when Pac comes on the ipod :blessed:

In what manner is naS a better lyricist than Pac?

Just never heard the evidence for it. Maybe someone here can show it :comeon:

With Nas and Pac, I consider them both about even lyrically. Nas is more complex technically, where Pac is more straight forward. Both of them are more poetic with their approach to lyrics. Pac trumps Nas with the delivery though. Pac was also slightly more versatile in that he could successfully pull off songs like "California Love" and "How Do You Want It" and still hit you with social commentary in songs like "Brenda's Got A Baby" and "Keep Ya Head Up".
