With Nas and Pac, I consider them both about even lyrically. Nas is more complex technically, where Pac is more straight forward. Both of them are more poetic with their approach to lyrics. Pac trumps Nas with the delivery though. Pac was also slightly more versatile in that he could successfully pull off songs like "California Love" and "How Do You Want It" and still hit you with social commentary in songs like "Brenda's Got A Baby" and "Keep Ya Head Up".

Nas is more complex with some of his rhyme schemes. Like he'll have verses with muti-syllable rhymes and then he'll have verses full of slant rhymes.

1) Record sales...Pac wins...

2) Who has more fans...? Pac wins

3) Bigger impact on the game...? Pac wins

4) Bigger social impact...Pac wins

Nas doesn't beat Pac in any category that matters...

If you say Nas is more lyrical than Pac, that's just an empty opinion that can not argued with any objective criteria...

And even if you think Nas is a better lyricist, and thus better than Pac, then you would have to say Canibus is in the top 3, because it can be argued that he is better than Nas, and by miles...

In everything that can be objectively measured, Pac is better than Nas...

Let me get a song, for example. See, people always posit that naS is some sort of lyrical beast. I dont see it. Then every time I ask for examples, literally I have NEVER got an answer.

If someone were to ask me how Lupe is a better lyricist than naS I could EASILY give them the examples.
