He's my number 1. Nothing is clear when it comes to these lists, it's subjective. Nas is number 4 on mine, but true say he's got a chance of moving up because he's still dropping ill shyt.

And rapping? It depends what aspect, if you mean technical complexity Nas is probably more impressive, but that's not everything.

Pac spit straight forward from the heart. He got his game from the Bay. Bay Area Rap doesn't approach Rap like some kind of word-per-minute technical excerise or some dumb sh!t that doesn't matter anyway. If you aren't a hermit and have experienced pain and struggle in your life, you will feel Pac's pain in his music. Nas can be so deadpan and emotionless at times. Pac can make a grown man cry, Nas's music never does that.

PAC was dope but doesn't have anything near as creative as drunk by myself or rewind, doesn't have one verse as visual/poetic as Nas' last verse on every ghetto, doesn't convey the imagery of nas storytelling...emotionally and energywise Pac kills nas, but as far as rapping? Nas hands down, this is all opinion tho.

Nas got this hands down. This idea that Pac too was an amazing lyrical wordsmith is all revisionism. He wasn't viewed that way when he was alive. It was understood that as a rapper he hovered around average. Of course, he did steadily improve.

This doesn't mean that Pac didn't make classic songs and albums and wasn't a supremely talented artist.

The irony of you referencing "actually listening" and then misquoting Nas. Group think is just another word for consensus.
group think is not another word for consensus. Again, a naS stan showing that they dont understand language, which again supports why they cant grasp naS simplistic verses. You said it yourself, naS audience cant understand words like "scroll"

It's good to be called a Nas Stan again. People have been calling me a Jay Stan all week.

You're in no position to question anyone's grasp of the English language. Are you going to explain why you constantly misquote Nas' lyrics?

Anywho - seems like you took a break from the forums for a minute? Vacation?

yall really have some issues. Everybody likes Pac, and his emotion. But Nas has also has done emotion... and skill wise there's really no comparison.

Nah Nas doesnt

his presence on mic and delivery fails in comparison to Pac

A Song's greatest purpose is to evoke emotion out of people and Pac's skillset was A1 for this goal

Nas has flaws..his delivery and lack of different and interesting cadences make his music to many ppl borin

Especially old Nas

Pac was powerful with his voice and delivery and not to mention he did have a way with words..ya he wasnt all metaphorical n sht but ayye i recognize that he wasnt trying to be

Now Im not sayin Nas is a slouch when it comes to mic presence but compared to Pac...well..u cant compare :yeshrug:

I suggest you listen to more of Pac albums.... it's almost like he gave up lyrically on half of his songs... He did a good job with delivery, but there's more to hip hop and rap than emotion. I mean 2 chains has emotion.... IJS.

I'm a pac fan, but skill wise, especially lyrically its Nas.
