Pac was a great songwriter and he knew how create music to make the listener go through a bunch of emotions, but he was never a great lyricist. He couldn't craft the worst song on illmatic bar for bar if his life depended on it, but best believe he could make you go from if he wanted to.

Pac was NOT a battle rapper....and Nas got emotional, not because of the lyrics, but because of who was dissing him, get it right. Nas heard way more disrespectful shyt from Jay-Z compared to pac....you remember super ugly? did he shed a tear? no...because he didn't have the same level of respect for hov like he did for pac.

Pac's rhymes were pretty fukking basic until the 7 Day Theory. Ironic that he brought the most heat lyrically in the shortest amount of time. Nas is the better rapper because he is more versatile. Nas can evoke emotion and get crazy lyrical, whereas Pac was only able to showcase his lyrical ability on one album.
