you're aware that you can be a lyricist and make a songs using lyricism and still have part of the songs that are not lyricism but narrative parts, or bragadaccio parts, or punchlines, which is the case with your quote ? You can't make a song with 100 lyricism rhymes out of a hundred, that's called balance of the song. Nas is just being descriptive here and set an atmosphere for the listener to dive into it. How can't you just understand a basic thing like that![]()
You absolutely can be a lyricist and make songs NOT displaying lyricism... naS did a lot of songs NOT displaying lyricism. I am waiting for the songs where he DID display lyricism. Thats what this entire thread has been waiting on. How you cant understand a basic thing like that is

its like how Lupe is the best lyricist... and he made "Failure" displaying the lyricism... while songs like "He Say She Say" or "Daydreamin" dont display lyricism.
Now, if you could just post naS' "Failure" then this thread would end...
