From a few conservative circles, Trumps response is being looked upon favorably mainly because:

1. He's placing blame squarely on Communist China, who many feel(myself included) hasn't received enough criticism over their handling of this.
2. His approach was to slash/suspend taxation. :blesed:
3. He's responding slowly and letting the market and states lead. Sounds like authoritarianism isn't being embraced just because of a crisis.
4. He isn't getting caught up in the hysteria and shutting down the economy.

:hubie:Just the messenger...
I’ll also add his constant positive optimism instead of fear mongering like DeBlasio all day helps too, but I’m just the messenger :hubie:

To be honest, it’s cuz more ppl gotta die. A record number of cases in Nee York isn’t hurting his perception. Need to have west bumblefukk, Kentucky be the epicenter of this for things to be taken seriously.

This is pretty much what it comes down to. People outside of the major areas haven't personally felt the brunt of yet, and don't care.

Confuse not giving a fukk with optimism bruhs. :mjlol:

Forreal though

the black cat is my crown...

i work in a rat's nest of white male conservatives and i can tell you this.... they believe the world is way over populated.... one openly dreams of a meteorite hitting earth and wiping out half the population... now, don't get me wrong, they are fervently against abortion... however, a pandemic that wipes out millions (including pregnant women) is okay with them.... so i could see this not affecting trump's number if his supporters see this as "non-trumpers" dying off....

Have you seen Biden's appearances though? That sorta shyt ain't gonna help at all. They need someone to come in as a clear representative who can bat that shyt out of the park. Biden has seriously lost a step, he doesn't have it in him.

Maybe he shouldn't be the nominee if he can't coherently display the clear facts that show how badly Trump screwed this up.

If Trump is letting the states lead, and the states are shutting down their economies how does he escape responsibility for that? Good policy or bad, the economic shutdown is at least in part on Trump and not just governors, I would think.
The shutdown is recommended by health officials... I'm not sure what exactly you are saying is on Trump?

I'm putting some of this shutdown on Trump and not just because people say his initial response was lacking (as was a lot of other people). I realize I may not be entirely fair, but if he can open up the economy by Easter (:comeon:), then apparently he does have some control in this matter.

Edit: After calming down a bit, you're right. This is state action at almost every turn. It's just easier to blame the guy at the top. Especially when you're upset.
