I've read the origins of the major western religions. What does this have to do with religion in America? When cacs came to Africa the people they captured and enslaved were not Christians. Second what does this have to do with the state of religion in the black community right now considering most aa's have not read any of these books

That's great and all, but in the part of Africa where my ancestors came from (West-Africa) noone practiced christianity before Europeans came.

As someone who has never been Christian in my life, I used to think the same thing. But now I understand religion is simply a way of worship. So black Christians worship God like white people do. But how can you hold that against them when we all talk like white people, dress like white people and have adopted virtually every societal norm of white people.
How can you say Christianity was forced upon someone in a language forced upon you by the same people?
Nah, the biggest issue with Christianity is that in it's current form it teaches that God is a man and that this man is white. This is why so many people are so confused about God and many have given up altogether. That and the hustlers. I guess if I was taught that God was a white man I wouldn't be feeling that too much either.

Honestly, I'm not sure what Christianity teaches because so many people tell me so many different things. But I don't care to debate about those things. I'm here actually defending black Christians against the "religion of oppressors" argument so view me as an ally and let's move forward amicably.

Good point made here. African culture is a lot more than religion, so there's a lot more to adopt if you want to go back to your roots.
