What does that have to do with anything though? Are you implying that without belief in a sky daddy these good brothers and sisters wouldn't be helping the community? And if they would be helping the community regardless because they are genuinely good people what's the point of believing in a sky daddy in 2015? I've read the origins of the major western religions. What does this have to do with religion in America? When cacs came to Africa the people they captured and enslaved were not Christians.
