So. I literally disagree on everything u said here. At this point there no point in a back and for cause this is all opinions from here. U just shytted on the production for Book Of Rhymes which I cant even mentally fathom and let's me know we are looking for different things musically. For instance. To say Last Real nikka Alive was not needed makes no sense cause he basically gave the backstory of him and Jay's beef and even confirmed some shyt people speculated for years about his issues with Biggie. The song was dope and informative. And theres nothing on Nasir seeing it aside from maybe Adam and Ave.

That's exactly why I didn't post all the joints from those other Nas albums because it's a waste of time, nikkas shytting on Book of Rhymes and Last Real nikka smh

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Hold down the block is boring. The song is uninspiring and Lazy. Nothing special at all about this record. It’s a forgettable song

Play on playa is boring. The beat is average and Nas and Snoop are both very underwhelming.

7 - 2 = 5

I broke LFIG down yesterday..

I’ll copy and paste my breakdown from the other thread
Hold Down The Block is fire. Hood nikka shyt. I will give u Play On Playa.

Its leagues better than Nasir. Just off the rapping alone. Lol p*ssy Kills off the God's Son bonus CD is prolly better than every track on Nasir.

It’s most definitely not in my opinion

It was pedestrian as hell, and what bothers me the most is that there was zero promo or info to put this in context.

Why was this album made? What's the statement he's making? Why Kanye? What about the other album that was "done"? Is this basically a mixtape or appetizer? Etc

God Son is the most overrated Nas album ever, I never got the online praise for that album. Beats for Mastermind and Book of Rhymes are underwhelming, ESPECIALLY coming from the Alchemist at that time. Revolutionary Warfare is average , nothing more, nothing less. I def agree that Last Real nikka Alive was not needed and was boring...we already knew the real history leading up to the beef. (I like the beat though, it's haunting). Made U Look was played out by the time the album came out to me, as is the case with most singles. Carry the Cross while lyrically dope, I shouldn't even have to comment on that wack ass beat he chose to use. Thugz Mansion was corny to me. Warrior Song, that singing on the hook is a no go for me, dog, over dramatic blah. Zone Out is absolute trash. Heaven is a classic though. Dance is a great tribute to his moms. I just felt like God Son was rushed through off the heels of Stillmatic and there wasn't a real cohesiveness to the project.

Good got DAMN I agree with this entire post, lol

Made You Look will forever be the shyt to me, and Get Down was dope, as was Heaven... I also liked Revolutionary Warfare just for the beat, as (surprisingly) Alchemist managed to get one dope beat on the album as Nas picked two other ones that were boring as shyt :mjlol:

Rest of that joint? Average, aight, and wack shyt one after another... and lets not forget "Hee-ee-eee-y Naaaass, how you dooo-ooo-iinnnn" with Kelis soundin' like she was still gettin' over the flu.

When nikkas try to call this album a classic, I realize the standards for Nas are set very low, shame considering he's one of the greatest MCs ever.

yeah, the promo was just letting Kanye tweet.. I dont get that. But, its clear he didnt wanna address the Kelis thing on a promo run. Hell he could at least do Drink Champs:wow:

Defending Nasir over God’s Son like this :snoop:

So Book of Rhymes isn’t a classic Nas concept record now? :comeon:

A great concept makes it a great song?

Nah breh.. try again

Nah breh.. try again

Not just the concept

Nope. But what Nas was spittin, specifically the last verse, the effects of the pages flipping, the laid back, hypnotic beat, him asking why ALC was laughing. All of that made it a great song.
Basically all of this

Can’t see how you can criticize Alchemist beat as boring on it when “Simple Things” on Nasir has the most sleepy, slow tempo with Nas rapping reallllllly slow and simplistic.

The difference between Nas rapping on God’s Son and Nasir is clear as day

Nas more than likely phoned in half his verses just to make Kanye’s deadline so he can get out of his Def Jam contract.
