Only thing I said as an opinion was he's an incredible rapper. Everything else wasn't a personal opinion. What are you talking about?

Classic albums- fact
sold millions of records - fact
Most influential rapper - fact
Longevity - fact

opinion

a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
"I'm writing to voice my opinion on an issue of great importance"
synonyms: belief, judgment, thought(s), (way of) thinking, mind, (point of) view, viewpoint, outlook, attitude, stance, position, perspective, persuasion, standpoint;More
sentiment, conception, conviction
"she did not share her husband's opinion"
as I see it, to my mind, (according) to my way of thinking, personally, in my estimation, if you ask me, for my money, in my book
"in my opinion, the green tiles clash with the yellow walls"
  • the beliefs or views of a large number or majority of people about a particular thing.
    "the changing climate of opinion"

sold million of records so is nelly and any one who sold over a million records a legend

Come on now. We're not going to sit around and act like JAy's word wasn't law when it came to fashion, what cars to drive, what liquor to drink, what watch to buy. There was a period when if Jay just mentioned a brand that shyt when everywhere. From Iceberg, the Cristal, to Rovers. Jay damn near single-handedly ended Mitchell and Ness run.

So jay took the place of your daddy :dame:

Only thing Jay Z is influencing is broke delusional nikkas who think they finna follow his path to success.

:laff: either you're delusional or from NY

Only lame no game, no swag, materialistic wannabe ass nikkas would take Jay fukking Z's lyrics as gospel.
And how many broke delusional people do you think there are? Waaaaaaaaay more of those nikkas around than otherwise. Proving my point. Thanks.

You're posting things and don't understand what you're reading. Jay sold records from 1996-2012. That is being relevant for a long period of time, in other words, longevity. So it's a FACT he had longevity. A multitude of rappers and fans alike have stated how much influence Jay has had on their lives. More than any other rapper you can name during that time period where he was at the top of the game. So that's also a fact. Classic album is a fact because of the impact it had on the culture.

Again, you're trying desperately to create an argument for something where there isn't any. Everyone says Jay is a legend, you're the only one contesting it, prove he ISN'T one.

Do #1 records trump #1 albums? Cause Jay has more #1 albums than anyone ever besides The Beatles. Besides that he's the main one who opened the door for rap to be where it is today completely accepted in mainstream America and worldwide.

He's also taken part in the greatest rap beef in history. Big and Pac was pretty much 1 sided in that Biggie didn't outright respond, so Jay and Nas have that by default. Has some of the greatest albums ever made in any genre.

he sold the roc to cacs
he haven't put anyone on
he was never the hottest rapper in his own city

he ride waves
he cant write a hook to save his life need I go on

Kanye, Beans, Freeway, J. Cole, he helped solidify Lupe's spot, did more for Talib Kweli's career in 1 bar than Talib could do for himself in his entire career prior to that, Jeezy and Ross both blew up after Jay's stamp of approval.

He was the hottest rapper in the whole industry for a very long time, regardless of other dudes outselling him there's no objective person who grew up during Jay's prime that would argue against that. 50 came along killed it for a couple year period towards the end of Jay's run, but he was never anywhere near as universally respected as Jay, he just had a huge white fanbase cause of Em's influence. Em and Nelly sold more records during Jay's prime, but they were never anywhere near as popular or influential as Jay was among straight up rap fans, they just crossed over to the mainstream better than Jay. Em because he's white, and Nelly only had a very short run where he was outselling Jay. Other than 50 there's no one from New York that you could argue was hotter (commercially speaking) than Jay at any point after 2000.

I'll break it down, because based off your post you're not the most intelligent of people.

I stated Jay is the most influential rapper. You claimed he isn't because only broke/delusional/gullible people followed him. I say, MOST people in this world are broke/delusional and gullible. Most people are sheep that follow along with what's popular and can't think for themselves, correct? If that's the case, then you proved my point, because since most people in the world are like the people that Jay influenced, then that would mean he's the most influential. Again. Thanks for proving my point.

There actually isn't anyone tied to the culture that would give this dude any credibility for trying to argue against Jay being a legend. Dude brought fukking Michael Jackson out at Summer Jam, and did a song with him. He's created some of the best songs, albums, and moments in general in rap history.

Regardless if it was Dame's idea to sign Kanye, Beans, and Free, Dame was in the position he was in because of Jay and in turn those other artists, regardless of Dame handling the business side, all got to where they are or were thanks to Jay as well. The rest all had nothing to do with Dame.

EDIT: Holy shyt I just realized you're trying to give Dame credit for the songs, albums, and moments not even the artists. Wow. That's not even worth responding to.

And bringing Michael Jackson out at Summer Jam and doing a song with him is not opinion.
