Our society/government cannot function at a certain point if no children are born to become workers/taxpayers. We all have to bear the sacrifice of raising children to keep things from descending into chaos. It’s collective action and those who don’t do it will still reap the benefits when some 20 something is wiping their 80 year old ass at a nursing home.

That’s the argument for why it’s selfish to not have kids. I see both sides of it though.
