How is this in "God's hands" when his "children" got murdered while worshipping him?

My family had some people over for dinner once and they were having a heated debate.
At one point, my dad was talking about how a couple's kid passed away or something. Lady was like "maybe it was in god's plan to do that. god makes people strong so they can deal with that"
bytch just completely marginalized a parent losing a kid to "god." My dad looked at her like she was an alien, then he looked at me with the "i wasn't the only one who heard that shyt" face, then he roasted her cause she acted like losing your son/daughter is easily dealt with.

It's good to have faith, but Christians be on some wild ish sometimes....

When people invoke god, I always think of it like people who think they will wing a test without studying, so they just select "c" throughout the test.

You may be right, but you are still a fukking moron in the meantime. God is their "I don't know, but my silly ass still gotta make up a reason".

i see that other stupid ass saying in here, for when someone dies. 'they're with god now' 'god needed them in heaven'

as if the creator of the universe needed the ghost of some ordinary, unimportant human to help him out up in space :mjlol:

i get that it's comforting, and thats OK. but to believe that that shyt is real :mindblown:

If I were a christian I would have to reevaluate my faith at that point. IN the church? of all places? all those miracles in the bible you put faith in being real but can't stop a man's bullet. If god wanted a sea of worshipers he'd have showed his power that day. That man would have let of 100 rounds and not hurt a single soul. I would have converted to christianity within the hour and probably gone full deacon, sign up for the vatican.

thats what I did... born and raised baptist growing up. it was when none of my answers about god and religion couldn't be answered except, the universal "just gotta have faith" ... religion is just a tool to control the masses with fear...
in the early days... they used soldiers to make the masses conform. when the population exploded, there was not enough troops to watch over the people... so they make up some imginary spook in the sky and religion to instill fear and control the masses.

The only ppl who are on that atheist bs are Cacs. Their minds are warped.
I'm nothing close to a Cac and was 'raised in the church'...but the older I get the more I feel like the ones you quoted.

What's your explanation for little kids getting shot and whole families getting knocked off? Kids getting hit and having to live being paralyzed or even just kids being born paralyzed? What the hell type of "test" would it be for someone to have to live with a disability all their life? What high power is gonna do that?

He didn't. This is the world humanity chose.

Salvation is [conditionally] in the afterlife.

These are the results of repeated covenant breaking by humanity :manny:(including the plagues and floods in the bible)

I've been seeing the usual cliché things people say during a tragedy,

"My thoughts and prayers..."
"God will see them through"
"It's in God's hands"
Etc..

And I am genuinely confused. I get how people can do this during a natural disaster or whatever, but these people near San Antonio were in a CHURCH!
They were praising the same God that will see them or their family through and then got murdered and immediately people were praying for them. THEY WERE PRAYING and still got it. How does that make any sense??

It doesn't.

Don't tell anyone.

God doesn't intervene physically, I think that's clear to see. I think he does spiritually though I.e. protect you from demons and shyt.

It's not supposed to make sense coz the road to hell is wide whereas the road to heaven is narrow. It even says in the bible that many will become arrogant in the last days and blame God for everything.

That anger, emptiness and need that humans/atheists have, to prove God doesnt exist or is bad I.e. that validation that you need from the coli to validate your feelings shows there is probably a God because if there wasn't he wouldn't even cross our minds every time shyt happens.

The joke is in not even a Christian like that but I never got why humans are so quick to blame God for their own fukked up shyt.
