This is hilarious when Curry was literally being groomed by NBA players since he started walking. :dead:

They were grooming him to be the next Dell Curry not Steph. Steph took shyt to the next level. Why is he gonna go out and give that shyt to a younger him? Who is just gonna turn around use those skills to get in his way.

You don’t train with your direct competition unless you’re :flabbynsick: and on your way out anyway

My biggest fear about young is him not being athletic at all.

That’s one thing him and curry have in common

He should probably work with curry cause it’s gonna take that for Young to live up to these top 5 nba draft expectations everyone given him over the past month

Curry is not athletic? What do you define as athletic? I would assume you have to be pretty athletic to be able to finish around the rim the way curry does

I was saying this shyt back when he was at his height. I just don't see how he is athletic enough to get separation in the NBA. It scares me how bad he is at finishing sometimes.

(I actually think Curry is way more athletic than Young is, quicker and with better hops too.)

People were big-upping this layup, I was thinking, "He's got a step on a smaller player and THAT was the best finish he could manage?" :usure:

He didn't have a step on the defender. They both reached the paint and rim at the same damn time

But breh, you said:
Let him figure it out...just like Curry had to
I was laughing at the fact you said, "just like Curry had to" when Curry had more mentoring from NBA talent than anyone else in the league.

Exactly - Steph finishes MUCH better than Trae does. He can get separation on his own with his quickness sometimes too, while Trae mostly has to use craftiness and teammates to get space.

Well, yeah, by the time they reached the paint he didn't have a step on him anymore. :francis:

thata's hating ass nikka mentality. if you confident in your game and your legacy then help the youngboul and shape him up to be a future you so he can reap those same benefits.

We must be seeing different video cuz once he receives the pass after the block, the defender is right by him in progress. He never had the step on the defender at any time in the videos. I'm not goin sit here and watch you tell this story:

@7:33. Now that's having a step in the defender and pulling away.

Mentoring usually happens when a guy is on his way out. Not when he’s still in his prime and still shaping his legacy.

These nikkas are competitors breh. Happens in every field. You got to keep your competitive edge. You would have never seen prime MJ mentor young Kobe. David Robinson refused to mentor young Shaq.

These dudes are coming for your spot you can’t afford to help them because they’ll end up knocking you off as a result.

Agreed. Dude will not shoot like Curry, and doesn't have the athleticism of a Westbrook or Wall, or passing IQ of CP3, etc. I don't see superstar potential here.

He's athletic

But the reason he finishes around the rim like he can is because he's crafty
