Turnout was down on both sides from 2012, it seems like it was just down more for the Dem base than the GOP base. I mean obviously there are some but honestly I'm not convinced that there are massive numbers of Obama voters that decided to go with Trump.

Rural counties straight up switched from one to the other. Or look @ Macolmb in Michigan. Voting is down sure, but that would also mean that many former Obama rural voters decided to sit it out. That's nearly as bad as switching to Trump.

There weren't that many of them overall, but I think they mostly happened to be in rural rust belt counties. I remember Thomas Frank talking about how a lot of them in those areas that voted for Obama were saying they were going to vote for Trump several months ago.

Alot of people identify with Trump and alot of women loved the glamour of Trump's wife. Trump's Wife and daughter are for white women what Michelle Obama was for black women.

Barack had 65.4 mil votes in 2012, hill is at 64.2 and growing as all the votes are being tallied

Trumps at 62mil and Romney only got 60mil in 2012

It's looking like trump's margin in toss up states may have come from people that sat out previous cycles... energized by something he brought to the table

This is part of why HRC. Trump suckered them into arguing "America is already great" while cats are struggling to get back to pre-recession levels, as if shyt was gravy during the Bush years.

Making America great again hearkens back to a time when white women were treated as second class citizens as well.
