Similar mindset. And breh that very well may have worked cause first convo was like old friends, til I put him correctly to the past and came back for em. And I forgot, my ex-boss owes me 5000 EUR but that is never coming back. I'm in Europe and my ex-boss is in Ghana now.
Also I'm not going to take that first guy to court. I think he will pay it back eventually but lesson learnt.
The economy was far better in Europe before and then it took a quick turn southwards, so I understand his predicament a bit.
