I was just trying to give my friend some advice on this earlier in the week.....Dude still gets numbers in the club, falls in love, has her texting that night, and just fumbles, and never follows up. The reason we all do this, is fear of being rejected, and having to make real the sort of meet cute fantasy you just had. I do it too, or I used to a lot more. And you come up with all these reasons why waiting 4 days is better, or next week, or after work, but it's all just delaying.
If you meet someone and you are feeling each other, set something up in that conversation if possible, at least an idea, that new restaurant, coffee shop down the street, any activity, and then follow up with a solid invite, ideally the next day. Why wait? I'll maybe wait a day or two, just to get my own plan together, but never longer. The longer you wait, depending upon the strength of your chemistry and initial meet, the chances of you meeting up will just plunge, for a dozen plus variables.
Just text the next day and set something up, it makes everything easier for everyone.
