How Long Can You Play When a Game Has You Immersed?

The last time i got super hooked for a new game was Persona 5. It was christmas break 2017 n a friday i think. Was playin on friday n smokin White Widow, took a few showers but didn’t eat at all. Played from friday night till sunday morning. Aint even realize it till i checked my phone. Never again

I finished Heavy Rain in one playthrough. The game came out on a day off I had before having to go to my parents for a week and I was so hyped to play it since I loved Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) that I was intent on finishing it that day.

Other than that rare occurrence how long I can play a game is entirely dependent on the game. Especially something like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater I can put on thinking I'm only going to play a few rounds and suddenly it's four hours later.

that games that get me for long hours are usually the "just one more turn" type. last one that really got me was Factorio

edit: actually more recently Teardown got me like that. I kept thinking of something I could do to shave off a couple milliseconds... and then it was 4am

For a few hours before I feel like something important may be getting neglected. Usually I'll play in spurts of 1~2 hours throughout the day. I don't sit down and game for 5~10 hours in one sitting as some people claim.

I spent like 8hrs straight in 2k's MyLeague (most of it simming and the occasional Simcast Live).

Other than the the occasional RPG or big story/open world type shyt (RDR2), MMOs be having me no lifing
