How long did it take you to figure out what you wanted to do with your life?

Well I'm 23 and pretty much every day right now is me trying to figure things out.

Been looking for a job for over a year and still haven't been hired. I already know I'm behind because the people I graduated with would have been making over 6 figures for around 2 years now.

Idk, pretty much actively wasting my youth at this point because broke college graduate :unimpressed:

Imma try Calculus this coming spring Semester. If I can pass it, then I should be OK, idk. I passed Accelerated Pre Calculus Algebra/Trig with a C and I barely studied, so idk
Pre calculus was harder than calculus 1 for me. I was actually pissed off when they showed me the equations in calculus that would take twice the times in algebra.

@surf

I figured out what I wanted to do in middle school. Be a killer whale trainer. Went all the way through college in marine biology and Tilikum killed another person which changed the qualifications. I qualified to train dolphins but I hate dolphins. When my dream was no longer possible, I went to my back up plan which was to become a doctor but the schooling it would take terrified me so I decided to become a nurse to help people so I went back to school to get a nursing degree in my late late 20s. I’m currently in school to become a nurse practitioner which is damn near a doctor.

I’m in my 30s and I agree, I am correcting “mistakes” but really I’m correcting time lost. It’s never too late. I still have about 40 more years of life.

You hate dolphins?

:dwillhuh:

Can you dive deeper into your time with the dolphins?

I knew exactly what I wanted to do since I was a child, but I didn't know how to pursue it until now. Once I pay these loans off next year, I will be pursuing it full-time.

:jbhmm:

what is exactly that you're trying to pursue? for most things, there's usually a path that's already been laid out in order for you to achieve your goal

I still don’t know tbh lol. Just living man, starting to think that’s the way life go. You just live

See i feel you on this, but is it right?

On one hand whenever you plan shyt in life it never goes the way its supposed to. However, not having
a certain goal or things you wanna do can make you unmotivated.

This is where im at and have been for years and im about to be 32 :mjcry:

Nah, your thread hasn't flopped.

I think most people are still trying to figure shyt out. One of the fukked up things in life is that a lot of the decisions you make when you're young, and experienced, have far reaching consequences.

I hope that when I have kids, I can relate to them so that they don't make the same mistakes I made.
Came in to say this.

Having to live with major life choices made in my early 20s, that I no longer agree with now in my 30s ain't it :francis:
