How long does it take you to recover from leg day?

Cardio :hhh:

My cardio comes from other body part workout days :troll:
Haha

I walk for my mental health. And I love being outside under the sun ☀️

I can literally listen to music and just walk around my development for two hours and lose track of time lol

I do have a workout bike i got gifted for Christmas, 2 years ago. I think I've legitimately used it under 10 times, and no longer than 10mins. I always say I'll use it more when it gets cold out, and never do. Maybe if I catch a stroke from clogged arteries or a heart attack, or high cholesterol/diabetes i may change my mindset :troll:

I don't really do leg day, I do total body day with a leg workout (or two) in that
I'm at the point where I'm hitting PRs damn near each time out and I might need a day of rest. I just did a new PR in the squat on monday, legs were a lil sore when I woke up today but I plan to do leg press today and it will be a new PR
I do 3 x 12 so not doing your volume either. I think it's more about getting to a level where the soreness is a day or two max. Soreness that lasts like a week is more so beginner gains i believe

Progressive overload with 4 sets of 8 to 12 reps is the sweet spot. But that’s good volume you’ll grow with light weight with type of volume long as you keep the intensity up. Only 30-60 seconds between reps.

That is a lot of volume but whether to say it’s too much depends on the intensity.

I could do a version of that workout where it’s pretty easy to do the 15 reps (not feeling like I’m coming close to failure) and recover like it’s nothing.

But if it’s intense (failing at reps 6-8) and I do 5 sets I’d be messed up (a week or so is the longest it’s taken me :russ:)

Now I workout my legs based on what I know about the muscle group in my body. Example I know I can’t go high volume high intensity on my calf’s, but my quads can handle it. I recover in two days doing this mix.

Assuming that you dont do THAT many sets/reps that often, 3 days. Those 3 days are gonna hurt tho.

General rule, alway set your leg day on the day before your day off at work.

Sometimes you dont even feel it after the workout, but the next day youll be like "oh fukk, what did i do"
