I'll give him two more albums until the fans start to tire of him and then on to the next nikka. I think he'll always make decent music and have a lane but i don't know if he'll always be as big as he is though. But hopefully he proves me wrong and has a long run in the game.

I wonder if he will sign local rappers from TO, or is he going to branch out with his OVO expansion.

And, I'm surprise that other Canadian rapper everyone was once clamoring about, Luu Breezy (I think) isn't part of Drizzy's team.

See, there goeS my positive Drake post.

Well He's been in it for the last 4 years since his debut EP (6 Years if you include mixtape years). I would say 09 was the rookie year. This was his Senior Year. He's had a lot of success. #1 albums, #1 songs on the Rap and RnB/Hip Hop charts. Big callaborations. Both albums sold well. Sold a lot of singles. So he's had a lot of chart success. But if you pull the numbers back, it's already been done in Hip Hop history with artist like 50 Cent, Nelly, Ja Rule, Ludacris, T.I. who all had a hot 2 or 3 albums and then fell off. Drake won't be exempt from that. "Started from the Bottom" has a hot beat but the song is very generic. It's only doing good on the charts cause of the new Youtube rule on the Charts which is a way to cover up for deflating sales in the music industry as the song shot 40 spots to #10 this week cause of again the youtube rule. I think this 3rd album will do well but not as a good as "Take Care". He's going Platinum cause the machine is behind him, he will have the press and promotion. I give him a couple of years so that's about a 4 year total run which most of the guys I named had.

But thats the thing...

He's already corny.. He came in the game corny.. That's his whole appeal...

He made it so you don't have to be urban, hood or even Black to dominate the culture...

He's a continuation of the evolution from Eminem and Kanye...

The dudes that used to get their sneakers stolen are now calling the shots...It's really a fail proof initiative...There are more guys like Drake roaming the continent than guys like DMX...

It's a real life Revenge Of The Nerds

Why do you think guys like Aziz Ansari, Jonah Hill and Seth Rogan are running Hollywood?

As long as 40 is alive and he's still got T-Minus and Boi-1da in his set he'll be fine. nikka makes good music. Just enjoy it.

Depends on how long the breaks are between his albums and what happens during that time in Hip-Hop honestly...

:childplease: it was doing fine without the youtube rule

it had 120,000 or somn digital sales and jumped to #3 on the r&b/hiphop charts, which isn't affected by youtube views

Until the game shifts again, which you KNOW it will eventually. Someone will come through and 50 him and make us reconsider why we liked him in the first place. And this is coming from a fan of Drake. He's got too many holes and angles to diss him on.

This. Ja Rule was not even as a easy target as Drake is, and we all saw what happen to him.

There was some rappers Drake had beef with prior to blowing up... the diss songs was posted on here before, if those rappers blew up and are on some goon tip with a buzz then Drake career is gonna be :sadcam:
