I don't like his music but he has something goin for him that most other rappers don't. He's a GIFTED songwriter, that shyt goes a long way. And he never came in with some hard image so even when he gets older his core fans won't move away from him because of his superstar status (50 Cent,Lil Wayne,TI etc..) kinda like a Kanye-lite situation.

His problem is that he tries too hard to have "the right sound"..thats why Drake is selling more albums.
He writes better songs, but he's not a better lyricist than Cole.

Dude even makes fun of himself. You can't pull secrets on that guy or pull his card. Its all there in his music.

And because I said that, Kanye West is one of the GOATs. He made it possible for dudes who weren't necessarily street/urban to have rap careers...AND be open about where they came from. 1. I've listened to every J Cole song he's ever released. EVERY ONE. But you know what? I've also listened to every Drake song. Drake wins. EASILY. Especially when we talk about So Far Gone and Comeback Season. Throw in the run of songs before Take Care. Also don't forget those features from 2012...Drake is the fukkING TRUTH on the mic. But I guess you think hes just a simp for women on his R&B tracks...WHICH have better lyrics than (at this point) 80%+ of R&B singers.

2 .Drake IS a better song writer. Glad you agree...but technically, Drake can run a multi-metaphor/syllable verse WITH EASE. Don't confuse "content" with "capability." Drake doesn't talk about what a lot of underground fans like in the sense that he doesn't touch on compared to J Cole...but before So Far Gone, thats ALL he was about. Thats the thing. Drake WENT through that on wax. He's just not there in his life now. I'll bet you that if Drake wanted to talk about Abortion, or Obama, or...whatever that he'd DO IT BETTER than J Cole. And you know it too. So all you can do is say Drake doesn't talk about political topics...well yeah nikka thats cause hes getting invited to do concerts for Bill Clinton and shyt.

3. J Cole not having mic presence? His fault. J Cole not having charisma? His fault. Get his team right and he'll garner that sort of presence.
