No, I'm comparing two men who stand side by side. and one is eclipsing the other musically.

As for your other point. From an outsider perspective yea jay is on top, but for anyone who actually follows hiphop knows jay-z really has always been #2. You cannot say with a straight face jay has been dominating rap music since '96. No, not happening.

Kanye's music is high profile, and is actually good. He is the only legitimate challenger to jay's hiphop throne claim.

I bet you if jay drops another album as lackluster as BP3. This will become a serious discussion.

You misunderstood what I meant by top spot..what i meant was he's been on a top tier standing in hip hop for over a decade

I think you have a bit of amnesia of how high profile BP3 was..regardless of its mixed reviews..

And ya Jay may not "put on a show" for the public with a bunch of tantrums and antics but dnt downplay how popular and high profile Jay really is.

As for the "hip hop throne"..

Well..

Thats not even a throne Ye is gunning for

Ye is lookin more in the Lane of MJ

Kanye is no longer hip hop..and this is coming from someone who cant tell you enough how great Yeezus is.

It is what it is breh :yeshrug:

That's cute and all about Ye being #1 musically, but that's it. Jay surpasses Ye in every other way really. The thing about Hov is he not only a rapper, but a business....mannnn. Take that how you want it, and maybe I'm crazy, but Hov probably not worried about being on Ye's album as long as he gettin Barclays Center money, and signing all these athletes.

if jay was 53, then he would've been 36 when reasonable doubt came out...and he wasn't. :rudy:

Kanye has been Jay's right hand since the rocafella debacle. For a couple years now Kanye has been out shining him and now jay has turned into the :hamster:

Jay is now turning into dead weight for ye. We all seen the drama with rocafella.
At the listening party it was said Jay was posted in the corner with beyonce the whole event. And Ye aint even put him on the album:russ:

Now Kanye is about to drop an album of the DECADE candidate:blessed:, Meanwhile jay is probably figuring dimensions of BP4 to hold maximum amounts of weed.

How long til jay shows he deals with emotions as a bytch, and try's to pull a power move on 'the only rapper who can be compared to Michael'

imo...as a fan of both, they're both on thin ice

I dont see how this is the case with Jay-Z

Even if the fans stopped following him as a rapper he'd still be a very successful individual.

Nobody fukks with 50 cents music anymore but hes still probably pullin in more money per year then most other rappers. Jays the same way but to an even further extent.

Kanye is a liability for a boss. Your right hand man wifing up trash reality stars that been passed around. Ye was never able to transcend from just being a rapper to something greater. He thinks hes a artist but doesnt do the work in the studio. He thinks hes a fasion ato but his gear looks like Filth. This new album has 2 good songs on it and is basically about nothing. Neither West or Jz have ever gone diamond. Manufactured gods of rap. Its disgusting.

I was with you until the part about not going diamond, I mean hammer went diamond.. Ask any rapper who's career they rather have. Drake is manufactured, jay-z made it with no industry help And that's very well documented.
