How long till we hear an official AI Biggie album?

Figgie. When?

  • Within 6 months

  • 6 months to a year

  • More than a year

  • Never

  • I don't care because I won't support or listen anyway. Let that man rest.

But it’s NOT a “new” Biggie album it’s a piss weak imitation. It might SOUND “like” BIG but the writing won’t be the same and the flows won’t be innovative or as smooth.
Nah but it's better than nothing, shyt, let them make it and see what it sounds like :heh: Let fukking Jay write the album, since he used all Bigs rhymes now anyway

The problem is if Voletta and Puff don't green light a project like this, there will be all kinds of unofficial joints popping up over the next few years.

Maybe it won't be a Biggie project first, but some big artist will want to be the first to do an official AI album.

Zero chance Puff greenlights that, and I doubt the parent label is interested either.

A label is going to try to drop an posthumous AI album eventually but it won't be from a super successful one like Biggie. It'll be a case where the family is receiving limited/low royalties, sales aren't high enough for the label to care about blowback, etc. And if it works, then we might see more popular dead artists receive AI treatment.

I've got two names that I was told specifically came up in conversations, including with AI demonstrations. Isaac Hayes and Bill Evans. Dunno if it's actually going to happen, I doubt it. But it confirms AI companies are reaching out to labels about this.

Wouldn't listen to it. Doesn't matter if it's available. If you value and respect art plus the rights of humans then why even indulge or entertain that type of product?

Accepting everything that comes with advancement is not the way. Draw your own boundaries. Stand on some principles in life... At that point the music is purely a commodity and corporation profiting off such things would be more incentivized to start investing in AI art and less humans since you don't have to pay a share of profit to AI.

It's already been attempted last year or so with a controversial new AI artist in digital blackface backed by white entities on a label. If people accept this type of shyt it will be to our detriment ultimately as fans of music. Accept it once and you will have charts and countdowns full of lab made music for maximizing corporate profit. Capitalism has no chill. A lot of things are inevitable they don't have to be successful. Don't be resigned and complacent humans.

Two years or so. Most people speak from opinion, "it shouldn't be" "nobody wants to hear that" "it's unethical" etc, but the signs are there, this has been in the making for a while. Just look back a couple decades and see what used to be unacceptable compared to now.

I suspect that will be Snoop. He'll call it something like "Then and Now" and have his current version (in all its incarnations and trends) trading verses with MWTC Snoopy and a revoiced DOC featuring Nate.

I know you lurk the Coli Calvin, you best cut that check and no I will not accept payment in unsold cereal boxes and novelty blunt wraps.

Yep, its inevitable. Like frogs in the kitchen they only ramp the temperature up bit by bit so they don't click they're being cooked from within until they cant do anything about it.

Exactly, Snoop is perfect for that. A 2Pac or Biggie album out of nowhere is not going to happen like that, others will pave the way. And Snoop been on that metaverse shyt for a while.

now that i think about it, the perfect artist for this AI ish isn't a dead one, it's the one that's still alive and had his voice TAKEN AWAY and is still here to PEN his rhymes, the DOC. That's the mf i would love to hear a new project and deserves the AI treatment, makes sense for HIM! I dont know why nobody has said this, but a DOC album is more than APPROPRIATE at this point. Everyone would agree with this. :ohhh:
