Zero chance Puff greenlights that, and I doubt the parent label is interested either.
A label is going to try to drop an posthumous AI album eventually but it won't be from a super successful one like Biggie. It'll be a case where the family is receiving limited/low royalties, sales aren't high enough for the label to care about blowback, etc. And if it works, then we might see more popular dead artists receive AI treatment.
I've got two names that I was told specifically came up in conversations, including with AI demonstrations. Isaac Hayes and Bill Evans. Dunno if it's actually going to happen, I doubt it. But it confirms AI companies are reaching out to labels about this.
