@JT-Money how you gonna lecture other Coli posters about how they are stupid then crash out in a thread about how you yourself can’t compete with AI and Indian workers for jobs?

It’s always the scariest posters that go the hardest for Trump
I have no idea what your talking about. Did you take your meds this morning?
:mjlol:
That's alot of projecting so I must have hurt your feelings.

You’re in here whining about globalization and about how your cybersecurity job is not safe from automation. If you’re scared say you’re scared.

Since AI has come debugging is 1000x easier :banderas: No need to read documentation or find a stackoverflow answer that doesn't work.

Breh even some random shīt I throw at it, the damn thing will have suggestions that at least lead me to the answers. No more looking at 5 year old obscure GitHub pages and still not getting a real answer. Days of manual coding — and cleaning up your own mess — are over.

AI is gonna either eat some of these lazy cats alive or make them look like geniuses. But you better make sure the thing that has you looking brilliant out the gate is all you

I get better results using custom versions in the Chatgpt store like Arcanum. I was about to to stop paying for Chatgpt it was so bad at first.

Told people back in the Tech Layoffs thread awhile ago. Task I’m working on at work was set to about 4months

After using Cursor and vibe coding I got it done in a few hours. Been testing edge cases making sure it’s working as it’s done fine so far.

That all being said, I do have a specialization in this area of the company’s codebase which is about 80k lines of code so I know what I’m doing. Someone relying on vibe coding/A.I would walk themselves right into disaster if they didn’t understand the context and codebase.

people going straight into using AI will become a generation of programmers who didn't learn to code.

Dune technology dependance.

A.I. still can't deploy hardware

EDIT: Or physically repair it

Robots for that only, that's still some time away.

Even the AI now isn't even real AI. Once AGI (real artificial intelligence that learns by itself) comes then we're fukked, that should accelerate robot development too.

Then, that would usher in universal basic income since most of the hardcore labour and mundane tasks would be fully robotic.

Generations down will be leaving like WALL-E humans. :dead:

End of the day it's still a tool and someone with vast expertise will shorten their workload.

So basically, learn the hard so you have a good understanding of your day to day, then make your work easier since you know the ins and outs properly.

The issue comes when novices completely and utterly rely on LLM tech when it's known not to be 100%. End of the day we still need our brain to troubleshoot and solve problems. Have to be serious about that.
